In Bon Education's work with Dubai Business Associates (DBA) – a programme run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – we have a partner that shares our philosophy of real world learning coupled with high quality knowledge and skill acquistion.
Each year, the DBA runs a world-class management training programme, geared for transforming talented graduates drawn from across the globe into the next generation of industry leaders.
Bon Education’s role on the programme is varied and rewarding:
- Our work begins in September of each year when the graduates (known as ‘Associates’) begin an immersive 12-week placement.
- Each Associate has the opportunity to undertake a placement at one of DBA’s ‘programme’ partners, which include Emirates Group, dnata, the Museum of the Future, and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), amongst many other highly respected names.
Throughout the Programme, Bon Education delivers soft skills workshops, career coaching, themed business visits and cultural excursions that expose associates to the UAE’s key landmarks and traditions.
Soft skill workshops include trainings such as presentation skills by professional actors and networking workshops with industry leaders. Career coaching includes targeted career and job search support.
Associates do company visits aligned to new themes each year such as “the business of food and farming in the UAE” or “the real economy of Dubai.”
We also make sure to take Associates to important cultural sites in Dubai and further afield, so they leave the program with a strong appreciation of the region’s history, art, traditions.
Our goal is to support each Associate in becoming a cultural ambassador for the region when they graduate.
