Project Summary
In 2016, the COO of the Dubai Institute of Design (DIDI) and Innovation reached out to Bon with the following brief: Create an initiative that gets kids and families excited about pursuing careers in design and innovation and that develops a pipeline of talent for DIDI.
Working closely with the DIDI leadership team and faculty, Bon created DIDI Project Design Space.
The program provides a unique opportunity for thousands of students in government and private schools across the UAE to gain real-world experience in the field of design by solving design challenges for government, corporate and community organizations.
To date, Bon has enlisted the following challenge partners: adidas, IBM iX, Dubai Holding, the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, Emirates Marine Environmental Group, Centrepoint, The Dubai Mall, Splash, Alserkal Avenue, Nike, Dubai Festival City Mall, RAKBANK, Emirates Nature-WWF, LEGO Middle East, as well as Expo 2020 Dubai.
The program continues to grow and thrive.
